Outstanding Administrator Award

Purpose

The purpose of the OUTSTANDING ADMINISTRATOR AWARD is to honor Wisconsin administrators who demonstrate leadership in the field of reading.

Procedure

  1. Select one (1) administrator in your local council's area to receive this award.
  2. Gather three (3) letters of support representing the following sources:
    -teachers
    -local council president
    -immediate supervisor
    -board member
    -parent, etc.

    Letters of support should contain the following types of information: a. Statements describing the administrator's knowledge about the field of reading and that his/her leadership reflects current research and practice b. Evidence that the individual is an outstanding role model for other administrators, parents, students, and teachers c. Evidence that the person has supported reading in the home, school, and community
  1. Include a copy of the administrator's resume'.
  2. Submit entry form, supporting letters, and administrator's resume' to Awards and Honors Committee on or before the deadline of November 1.
  3. Local Councils may submit one entry per year.
  4. Honored Administrators receive a plaque and a one year membership to WSRA at the WSRA Annual Convention

If you would like to nominate your administrator for this award, contact your local reading council president.
