Council Recognition Award

Purpose

The purpose of the COUNCIL RECOGNITION AWARD is to honor a council for a well-established program. This council activity must have been in existence for a minimum of three (3) years.

Procedure

  1. Adopt a program or activity to sponsor as a council .
  2. The program or activity must be well-established and in existence for a minimum of three (3) years .
  3. Complete the entry form and write a description of the program or activity that is no more than two pages in length. Include the following information: a. Target audience (grade levels, adults, etc.) and describe how many benefit from the program b. Rationale, goals, and objectives c. The historical development of the program d. Number of years in existence e. Cost to the council in the last year f. Evidence or measurement of success or impact of program g. Future goals of the program


  4. Submit your entry to the Awards and Honors Committee by November 1 .
  5. The entries will be read and considered by the Awards and Honors Committee.
  6. Your council may not receive this award for the same program more than once.
  7. The recognition for this award is presented at the WSRA Annual Convention and will include a monetary award of $200.
