Friends of Literacy Honor Roll

Purpose

The Friends of Literacy Honor Roll honors individuals who have served WSRA for at least ten (10) years. Any current member may nominate a WSRA member for this award by completing the form, supplying the required evidence of service, and submitting all materials to the Awards and Honors Committee.

The types of activities which may be listed as evidence of service to WSRA include:

-officer
-committee chairperson and/or member
-convention/conference/drive-in workshop presenter
-speaker's bureau presenter
-innovative projects (within WSRA) to promote reading
-WSRA Journal article author
-WSRA Journal, Update, Focus or other editorial service
-monograph or other WSRA publication
-reading/language arts research submitted to WSRA Research Committee

When listing and describing the nominee's types of service, please be specific and include dates of service whenever possible. Evidence of service listing is limited to two (2) pages. Also attach nominee's resume.

The award is presented at the WSRA Annual Convention. The winner receives a plaque and designates a library/media center which will receive a check for $100 on behalf of the winner.
