Leadership in Literacy Technology Award

The WSRA Reading and Technology Committee is seeking nominations for the Technology Award. The candidates chosen should demonstrate the following qualities:

    1. Integrate technology into the classroom to improve literacy skills and to meet curriculum standards:

      a. Uses technology on a regular basis allowing students to work at their own level.
      b. Empowers students to become life-long learners.
      c. Engages students in "real world" communication technologies.
      d. Promotes and uses technology to improve literacy skills.

    2. Shares/promotes technology beyond the classroom. This could involve sharing at any level such as: school/district, community or beyond.

The individual nominated should also:

    1. Be a current WSRA member.
    2. Be employed in education.

Submit nominations to the Reading/Technology Committee Chair.
Deadline: NOVEMBER 1.

Include in submission:

    1. Completed form.
    2. Typed description showing how individual meets qualifications, not to exceed two pages.
