Affiliated with the Wisconsin State Reading Association (WSRA) and the International Reading Association (IRA), MARC is composed of teachers, librarians, administrators, education students, researchers, professors, reading specialists, and others who are interested in promoting life-long literacy, literacy learning across all content areas, and the improvement of reading and writing instruction.

Why Are We Here?
The council provides opportunities for people to discuss reading issues, keep current on reading research and strategies, foster mutual understanding and cooperative work among reading professionals, and promote the enjoyment of reading.

  • Feature well-known speakers at each meeting.
  • Assure members receive four newsletters per year.
