Credit


UW Oshkosh and Northeast Wisconsin Reading Council will again offer a credit option. The meeting time will be used for discussion. If you wish to take the class, time extends to 9:00. This is available for one credit with a project at your school for the second credit. Reading 764: Exemplary Practices: INTERVENTION PRACTICES . (Local students will be part of the demonstrations and tutoring.) UW Oshkosh offers special courses under the title Exemplary Practices, K-12. You are welcome to participate.

This year we voted on reading children's literature and attaching appropriate activities. We have varied the routine from having one choice to a variety of books around a common idea.

Meeting time: 5:00-7:00
Supper will be ordered or potluck.
Place: Crivitz Elementary School, Library Center

September 13: PopUp Books. Harris, POPUP AESOP. Read, share, and create.

October 11: Wisconsin authors and Wisconsin books.

November 8: Tracey Porter, BILY CREEKMORE. Set in West Virginia coal-mining area, working children.

December 13: Caldecott Winners

Spring 2008


February 14
: Gary Paulson's latest LAWN BOY. He climbs the financial ladder with his old lawn mower.

March 13: Good non-fiction authors especially exploring Jamestown, 400 years.

April 10: Newberry Winners.

May 8: Visiting Author, Gail McAllister, CRY OF THE SEAGULLS.
