LEADERSHIP IN LITERACY
TECHNOLOGY AWARD GUIDELINES

Deadline - November 1st

The WSRA Reading and Technology Committee is seeking nominations for the Leadership in Literacy Technology Award. The individual chosen should demonstrate the following leadership qualities.

  1. Integrates technology into the classroom to improve literacy skills and to meet curriculum standards:
    1. Uses technology on a regular basis allowing students to work at their own level.
    2. Empowers students to become life-long learners.
    3. Engages students in “real world” communication technologies.
    4. Promotes and uses technology to improve literacy skills.
  2. Shares/promotes technology beyond he classroom. This could involve sharing at any level such as: school/district, community or beyond.

The individual nominated should also:

  1. be a current WSRA member.
  2. be employed in education.
