School librarian Laura Given will share about her “year of picture books” serving as a member of the 2016 Caldecott Committee which selected Finding Winnie: The True Story of the World's Most Famous Bear for the 2016 Caldecott Medal. Given works as a library media specialist in Roseville, Minnesota, is the selection chair for Minnesota’s Star of the North Picture Book Award, and celebrates children’s books online at liblaura5.blogspot.com and on Twitter @liblaura5.

This event will be held on Monday, October 23, at Ready Randy’s in New Richmond. Book buying and social hour start at 4:30 p.m., dinner starts at 5:15 p.m., and our presentation starts at 5:45 p.m.
