Benefits
WSRA members may attend conferences and institutes at a reduced rate. Members also receive the WSRA Journal and the award-winning Update newsletter.

The annual dues entitle members to participate in:
Annual Convention
- The WSRA annual convention features nationally recognized speakers, authors, teachers, specialists, university faculty, and other professional leaders. Programs are developed for a diverse population of educators, preschool through adult.
- The annual WSRA convention is a three-day event that attracts more than 2000 participants to Milwaukee in February.
Special Institutes
- WSRA also offers one and two-day institutes which are held at locations across the state. Institutes focus on topics of interest in reading education.
Leadership
- WSRA offers leadership training sessions which bring state officers, committee members, and local reading council officers together to plan and carry out goals for improving literacy in Wisconsin.
Legislative Involvement
- WSRA contracts with a government affairs consultant to monitor Wisconsin legislation related to reading and literacy. WSRA members receive current information on national and statewide initiatives that involve the profession.
