Response to Intervention is a collaborative, problem solving approach to ensure that all children succeed. It must first start with high quality classroom instruction that focuses on the individual needs of all learners. Response to Instruction optimizes learning for each student at all levels of schooling. Research shows the critical component of successful literacy learning for each and every student is an informed, competent classroom teacher.

WSRA continues its RTI series, offering educators professional development that focuses on this high quality classroom instruction.

WSRA welcomes Kathy Collins who will share ideas for creating highly effective reading workshops that support and engage all learners.  In addition to offering tried and true management tips, Kathy will show teachers how they can maximize the impact of their whole class instruction and one-to-one reading instruction.  She will help teachers create the conditions in reading workshop so all kids learn to read and love to read.
