September 27, 2018 Join the Rock River Reading Council to learn more about How to Intensify Classroom Routines 

• Presented by Dr. Michael Ford, Professor Emeritus, UW-Oshkosh, who served as chair of the Department of Literacy and Language and a professor in the teacher education program for 29 years.
• Topic summary: Have your class routines become a bit routinized? Look at how to get more mileage out of typical class routines in elementary literacy programs. Based on Dr. Ford’s new book, Let’s Intensify Our Large Group Activities to Maximize Their Power and Reach Rore Readers and Writers. Dr. Ford will also share a few other new books that you will want to integrate into your routines and share with your students. He may even sing a song or two!

Fees:

• $10. 00 Dinner will be a Deli Style Buffet to include turkey, ham, roast beef, tuna salad, and egg salad with various cheeses, lettuce and sub fixings on a variety of rolls, potato salad, pasta salad, fresh fruit and fresh baked cookies.  Beverage choices will include coffee, bottled water and soda.
• $15.00 The Rock River Reading Council Membership fee allows attendance at all 2018-19 meetings/programs
• $5.00 The Rock River Reading Council Student Membership fee allows attendance at all 2018-19 meetings/programs
• $0  You may attend the RRRC meeting if you belong to another reading council, however, the meal is $10.00. 

*We are doing our PB & J (Providing Books and Jammies) service project for children in need.  Please bring a gift bag or two with a book and pajamas in each!  If you don’t have time to shop, there will be a pink piggy bank that will be passed around for donations.  Our treasurer, Rose Everett, will shop for books and pajamas!
