Join fellow Muirlanders as we sew pillowcases for Birthday Book Bags and Bedtime Book Bags for Kids.

Several members picked up fabric kits with necessary pieces to assemble at home. More kits will be made with the following pieces: main fabric 27”, cuff 9” and flange 2”. Please let us know if you have any questions. 
Birthday Book Bags and Bedtime Book Bags will be distributed to the Reach Out Lodi Community Center and the Sauk Prairie Food Pantry. Your generosity is greatly appreciated and timely during this time. 

Muirland Literacy Council members and friends will be making pillowcases (aka Bedtime Book Bags) to fill with books, washcloths, toothbrushes, and toothpaste. We will also assemble Birthday Book Bags, which contain books, birthday candles, cake mix and frosting. Birthday Book Bags and Bedtime Book Bags will be donated to the Reach Out Lodi Community Center and the Sauk Prairie Area Food Pantry. All willing volunteers are invited and no sewing experience necessary. 

We need folks to help sew pillowcases, iron fabric, and fill book bags with essential items. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.
