Digital Formative Assessment Strategies that Inform Instruction

presented by Keith Schroeder

Feedback is a critical part of the learning process. Research shows that meaningful and specific feedback has a significant impact on improving learning. In our digital world, it’s never been easier to incorporate digital formative assessments. Formative assessments are one of the best ways teachers can provide students with this type of meaningful feedback. Digital formative assessments make it easy for teachers to collect and easily analyze data on student progress. That data can be used to provide students with meaningful feedback as they progress towards their learning goals. Research further shows that the use of formative assessments in the classroom helps lead to both increased student engagement and achievement. This presentation will look at digital formative assessments (with an emphasis on free tools) that will make formative assessment a seamless part of your everyday classroom instruction.

This is the second in the series of live webinars for the SW Zone.
