WSRA members receive a handy membership renewal notification via email that comes with a convenient link that lands on the renewal online form.  Membership renewal has a 30-day "grace period" within which members may renew.  Membership expires at the end of the 30-day grace period. If your membership has not yet reached the end of the 30-day grace period, please click here to renew your membership.  Local council members:  Please contact your council's Membership Director to obtain the discount code.

In compliance with state law, WSRA members may contact WSRA to read archived minutes. Contact: [email protected] with the month and year of the minutes desired. 

WSRA member benefits:

  • WSRA Journals, which address current topics and present education strategies for classroom instruction in English Language Arts.

WSRA members:

  • May join one of WSRA’s committees through which our goals are accomplished. The WSRA Leadership team is composed of Local Reading Council Officers, WSRA Committees, and the Board of Directors.

Develop tools, strategies and interest to motivate WSRA members to engage in advocacy efforts to improve literacy research, policy and practices that best serve students, families and educators.

Professional Development:

Promote professional growth opportunities for educators, administrators,
families, and community members.

Provide leadership in addressing issues and trends in literacy to inform educators,
administrators, families, and community members.

 

Partnership:

Create partnerships that foster literacy in the home, school, community, and workplace.

 

Membership:

Develop and strengthen an active and diverse membership.

Promote and disseminate research findings that will strengthen and support the best
practices for instruction and assessment in literacy.
