Stories that POP! An Interactive Short Story Writing Workshop

In this interactive workshop we will compare the process of writing a story to the making of popcorn. Both popcorn and stories start with a small kernel or seed of an idea. If you work on that tiny seed you can pop it into something flavorful and delicious! In this workshop I will talk with participants about where to get ideas and then how to expand them through a variety of different story elements and strategies. Students will have time to write and practice the techniques I share in this presentation.
